Job profile:

This role calls for a repetitive, systematic & skillful approach to work  and needs to be performed in a highly precise manner to ensure all operations on-board the vessel are carried out as per strict operational & safety guidelines. 

Main responsibilities of the job include:

•  Ensure lashing/unlashing work is carried out to job requirement and vessel’s satisfaction.

•  Direct Crane Operator to discharge or load containers from/to specific locations on the vessel.

•  Liaise with Operations Executive of progress/problems during Operations.

Candidate profile:

Our ideal candidate will be a  steady individual with a high level of tolerance  who will thrive within a very structured work environment and have an excellent knowledge in the field of shipping and experience in transportation & Logistics industry.

 You must have:

•     Passed G.C.E. A/L examination with minimum three (03) passes and G.C.E. (O/L) examination  in six (06) subjects 

      including mathematics & English with minimum three (03) credit passes,

or

•     Passed G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six (06) subjects including mathematics & English with minimum three (03) credit 

      passes with an Academic/Professional Qualification in the field of Shipping, Transport & Logistics from a recognized

      university/institute.

•     Excellent oral and written communication skills of the English language.

•     Ability to plan, direct, monitor, lead and control specific operational tasks.

•     Minimum three (03) years direct work experience (Local / Overseas) in port operations/container yards/shipping lines.

•     Willing to work on Roster/Shift basis.

Job profile:

 

Operate RTG Crane for movement of containers as instructed and in accordance with safe operating procedures, performance targets and standards.

Main responsibilities of the job include;

•  Work to the instructions indicated on the radio data terminals located in the Operator cabin in

    handling and stacking of containers.

  Effectively communicate by UHF/VHF radio with relevant staff.

  Mounting of import containers and receiving export containers to and from trucks as directed by

    the system.

Candidate profile:

 

Our ideal candidate will have a high level of tolerance for repetitive tasks and  deliver precise error free work with attention to quality and detail.

 

The ideal candidate should;

 Be male below 45 years of age.

  Passed G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects with three credit passes including Mathematics and

   English

    Or

  Passed G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects including Mathematics and language with three

    credit passes and G.C.E (A/L) Examination with four/three simple passes for core subjects.

  Have minimum five years of experience as a RTG Operator.

  Be able to use UHF/VHF Radio equipment.

  Be able to handle and list cargo restraining equipment up to 55 Tons.

  Have required fitness level including hand /eye/foot coordination & meeting visual & auditory standards.

 •     Willing to work on Roster/Shift basis.

Job profile:

 

This position is responsible for performing specialized work efficiently with confidence, competence and high attention to details.

 

Main responsibilities of the job include;

   

  Undertake mechanical repairs, servicing and refurbishment to all terminal equipment such as

  “Quay Gantry Cranes” and “Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes” to the required standards.

  Diagnose faults in Diesel engines, transmissions and hydraulic systems and heavy mechanical

   systems.

 

Candidate profile:

 

Our ideal candidate must have an excellent knowledge in mechanical engineering.

 

You must have:

  Successfully completed 03 years full time certificate course in the field of mechanical from a reputed technical institute.

  Passed G.C.E. (O/L) examination with five (05) credit passes including Mathematics & minimum simple pass for English language.

  Thorough knowledge and experience in electro mechanical systems.

  Ability to read and understand manuals and engineering drawings.

  Minimum three (03) years of experience in the relevant field.

  A valid heavy vehicle driving license.

  Ability to work at heights and on Roster/shift basis.

You must be: 

• Provide first aid and treat minor injuries/ailments of employees during the shift.

• Examination of sanitary standards during the shift and take/recommend remedial action

  where necessary .

• Maintenance of records of consumption of medicine and updating stock records.

• Arrange for replenishment of stocks of medicine.

• Ensure confidentiality in maintenance of medical records of employees.

 

Candidate profile:

 

• Male below 45 years of age.

• Have completed 03 years relevant diploma course conducted by Ministry of Health.

• Registered Nurse in Sri Lanka Medical Council.

• Passed G.C.E. (A/L) Examination with minimum three simple passes for core subjects.

• Passed G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with minimum six (06) credit passes including

  mathematics & English language.

• Minimum 05 years of experience in a large scale industrial organization/military service.

• Have good oral and written communication skills of the English language.

• Have good computer literacy.

• Willing to work on Roster/Shift basis.
